One Day Tour to Batam on 10 Sep 2010

We went to Batam Cetnre on 10 Sep 2010 (Hari Raya Puasa) to join the One Day Tour cum Seafood Lunch.. We were greeted by the friendly tour guide. Her name was Meiling. Thanks God that she knows English and Mandarin...

We were taken to the 7 places within one day :-

1. Largest Buddhist Temple (Biggest Temple in South East Asia)
2. Provision Shop sselling dried prawans, crackers and etc
3. Miniature Park (Got 27 different villages)
4. Golden Prawn Restaurant (Seafood Lunch)
5. Polo Factory Shop selling Polo clothes and etc
6. Nagoya Shopping Mall (Newly Largest Shopping Mall)
7. Oldest Temple (about few hundred years old)
   

Thanks God that my prince was able to interpret little for my friends and us while the tour guide spoke in Mandarin to the other tourists.

After arrival at Singapore, we went to Sushi-Tei Restaurant for dinner

Phew! Bernard finally won the TNP Auction 2010 Series 3 (8 Sep 2010)

Bernard and I discussed which item to bid for.. We decided to bid $280,000 and $250,000 for daytime bed and jewellery cabinet respectively cos we could notice that their starting bidding amounts were quite low.. Should be no problem for either of us to win..


On that day, Bernard did not expect to receive the call from Singapore Press Holdings to confirm that he had collected the exact $250,000 or not? He confirmed.. Thanks God..

Hee.. we finally received the jewellery cabinet cos it was very heavy and made of teak.. wowow..
