DHHFS (Deaf and Hard-Of-Hearing Federation Singapore) organised a trip to Bottle Tree Park. We assembled at Khatib MRT at 10am for transport to Bottle Tree Park. Till 5pm... wowow.. so long.... I was sure that my kids would be exhausted... =)

I did not expect my kids not to be exhausted but when we reached home, my kids complained of exhaustion.. haha

They got games, lunch and optional game (Paintball)

Oh my God!!! H1N1 Case

Posted by Carol at 9:31 PM 0 comments
I usually dropped my daughter to the nursery daily on way to my workplace every morning.. Recently (7th July 2009), I watched my daughter and other kids being checked their temperatures like routine checkup since the swine flu (H1N1) broke out...

The teachers announced that there was 1 case of H1N1 in this nursery which I was not aware cos I could not hear... Luckily, my daughter's best friend's father interpreted for me..

Oh my god... So irresponsible of 1 kid's parents who still dropped the kid to the nursery... Shit them... Very Angry with them!!! They should not do this like that cos it could infect all the kids in the nursery... sigh...

Next day, I told Zara to stay at home, not going to nursery.. She said she wanted to continue going.. I said NO!!!! Then she was sad... hehe

Cos I did not want history repeat itself.. Know why? My daughter was infected by the other kids in nursery (both HMFD and chicken pox at the same time)... Got 1 case of HMFD and 5 cases of chicken pox....*eyes rolling*

Thanks God that she just recovered last month......

Gathering with Mrs Whitehead

Posted by Carol at 4:14 PM 0 comments

Thanks to Frances, Jeffery and I finally met our former teacher, Mrs Whitehead who emigrated to Australia about 20 years ago... Wow.. Frances managed to track Mrs Whitehead... She was like a private detective... haha... All of us arranged to meet up at Toa Payoh Interchange on 5 July 2009 Sunday to visit Mrs Whitehead's sister's house... :p

Mrs Whitehead used to teach us when we were in Primary 5. This means 23 years has passed... wowo.. so long... Our jaws dropped could not believing that she still looked very younger than her actual age (she is 65 years old)...

Now
, Mrs Whitehead is teaching the children with austism in Australia...
